Chaos floods the drain to the sea
where light pollution hides stars.
and crashing waves accompany eternal darkness.
Chirping birds call numbly in the cold mist
while vagrants bundle in the sand
as worries exile beyond the horizon
and warmth blankets bones.

Ooh, especially that last stanza, this poem gives me a such a vivid picture.
